The Secrets of my HOSTEL-LIFE :p

Whether you are a student pursuing your career in the field of Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering, CA or some other Institution based courses and navigating out of your home-town for the first time with wide eyes and curious spirits, there is no better place to stay other than HOSTEL. For those who haven’t spent a night in a hostel before, I’ll be the first person to tell you… you’re missing out the fun part of your life!

The notice said that “Shree Mahavir Jaina Vidyalaya started a new branch at Sandhurst” and the admissions are still open. With the deep feeling of relief I rushed to the nearest CyberCafe and registered myself for the admission process. After testing my patience for few days, I get an SMS saying you have been selected, got your admission secured. Suddenly things became easier in life because now I got a place to stay. Let me put it as “Now My Being-Alive Period Of Life Was About To Start”!

It took me few weeks to get along with the people coming from different states, speaking different mother tongue, living a different style of life. Someone said it very correctly that –
“Meeting people coming from various social background is one thing that makes hostel life as much interesting as if you’re attending a concert of your favorite singer or spending a summer in Goa :p”

Let me be very clear on my part that not everyone can adapt to this way of living because not everyone can stand in a queue for bathing or can listen to the senseless things that his roommate speaks at times.

The experience that you get from people here after listening to their success and failure stories often force you to think and rethink and make your goals clear and distinct. I guess it is one of the reasons why parents send their kids to hostel. Also at times you get to hear few stories that exist only amongst seniors :x so called senior secrets. They will make you laugh out hell.

One thing that you will find in all the hostels is FREE ADVICES. For people here it doesn’t matter whether you ask them or not, whether you will listen to them or not, they are going to give you advices no matter what!

Summing up its all about early morning studies and late night talks , insightful religious functions and Dabaang Sports Tournaments,  a movie on deck and music on the rock , ironic dramas and funny stories, confused (sometimes) - bossy (always) seniors and over excited young minds, a family of friends and suitcase full of memories.!
